With ONVZ’s Vrije Keuze basic health-care plan, you don’t just receive the best possible health care, you also get to choose for yourself which doctor to see and in which hospital to be treated. You’ll get 100% reimbursement for all general practitioners, hospitals and contracted health-care providers, and up to 85% reimbursement for non-contracted health-care providers. Maximum reimbursements apply.

ONVZ SnelzorgThe ONVZ Vrije Keuze basic health-care plan gives you access to ONVZ Snelzorg. This is an initiative where we make arrangements with health-care providers in the Netherlands, so they can treat you sooner. Our ZorgConsulent advisers stay in touch with all health-care providers contracted by ONVZ in the Netherlands. We know which of these providers can help you sooner and which hospital is the best choice for each treatment. You’ll typically be seen within three weeks. With ONVZ Vrije Keuze, you won’t have to pay extra for Snelzorg, as it’s included in your basic health-care plan.

Our ZorgConsulent advisers know the health care system in detail. They provide high-quality information about hospitals and independent treatment centers in the Netherlands. This way you can better choose which doctor or hospital you would like to go to.

Many health-care providers send the invoice directly to us, and we pay the health-care provider directly. If in the end you still have to pay a part of the costs yourself, we will invoice you for the amount you have to pay yourself.

Maximum reimbursements for ONVZ Vrije Keuze
You can use our Zorgzoeker online search tool to see which health-care providers have a contract with us. For a few types of health care, a maximum reimbursement applies for non-contracted health-care providers. This reimbursement is based on a percentage of a predetermined rate, usually the average contracted rate. For ONVZ Vrije Keuze, this percentage is capped at 85%.
