Help with logging in
There are a few different ways to log in to your ONVZ account. You can do this on a laptop, a PC or a tablet using MijnONVZ. Or you can use the ONVZ app on your smartphone.
MijnONVZ and the app

Logging in safely
You will need your DigiD to log in to ONVZ, as is the case with most health-care providers and health insurers these days. ONVZ prefers the use of DigiD as this is the best way to protect your personal data.
Logging into the app only possible with DigiD
If you are already using our handy app, you may currently be using facial recognition or your fingerprint to log in. As of 30 May 2024, this will no longer be possible. From this date, you will need to use your DigiD each time you log in, just like when you log in to MijnONVZ.
DigiD has tightened the login requirements for apps
The reason for this is that DigiD has tightened the login requirements for apps offered by health insurers and other organisations. Other ways of logging in are no longer allowed. This ensures your data is protected in the best possible way. After logging in, you can submit claims on your phone, make your payments and/or view health-care costs, exactly how you were already used to in the app.

Extra secure login
To make logging in with DigiD even safer, the process requires 2 steps. You can log in with DigiD and the DigiD app or DigiD and text message verification. This may seem cumbersome, but there is good reason for this. Let us explain why this extra security is so important.
Personal information properly secured
MijnONVZ gives you more insight into and control of information that concerns you. As your health insurance information is highly personal, we aim to secure it as well as possible. We do this by having you log in with 2 steps.
Only you can view the information
The additional check increases the chance that it is really you logging in and not someone else, because it is performed via a device you selected. For example, your mobile phone or landline.
Log in easy and fast with the DigiD app
With the DigiD app you can easily log in with a PIN code of your choice. Download the app for Android or iOS and activate it via text message. You will then choose your own passcode. Every time you log in with DigiD, you have easy access to your health insurance information in the app. Easy and fast.
