Changes in our supplementary insurances in 2023

This overview below shows all changes in our basic health-care plan as of January 1, 2023. We have only listed the changes that change the terms and conditions of your insurance.

What will change for you?

  • If you have a basic or supplementary health-care plan with ONVZ, you can use the self-help app Fysiochecknu for free from 1 January 2023. Start your personal exercise programme to reduce or prevent minor complaints in, for example, your neck, back or shoulders.

  • If you have Startfit or a higher supplementary plan, you can go to a physiotherapist near you for treatment. However, maybe you have a complaint that can be addressed in an online consultation. You can get such an online consultation with a physiotherapist via the Fysiochecknu app. If you choose to do so, we will reimburse the costs in the same way we reimburse treatment in a physiotherapist's practice.

  • If you have a supplementary dental health-care plan and are admitted to an institution under the Wlz where you will also receive treatment, the Wlz will cover your dental care. From 1 January 2023, it is therefore possible to cancel your dental insurance during the year. The dental plan will then end on the 1st day of the new month.

  • The Startfit and higher supplementary plans reimburse a health check-up or sports check-up. Optifit and higher also reimburse other preventive examinations. Are you curious about your health and would like to undergo a personal health check-up, sports check-up or other preventive examination? The coverage of our supplementary health-care will remain the same in 2023. However, all preventive examinations are now clearly listed together.

  • Our Optifit and higher supplementary plans cover preventive health-related courses. This included Mirro's self-help modules. Mirro no longer offers these self-help modules directly to private individuals. They can only be used via an employer or health-care provider. We have therefore removed Mirro from our list of preventive health-related courses.

    If you are part of a collective plan with ONVZ through your employer, you may have the free supplementary Werkfit plan. If you do, you can still use Mirro's mental self-help modules and they will be covered.

  • Our supplementary health-care plans OntzorgPlus and Superfit reimburse additional care in case of cancer. For 2023, we will expand this benefit with personal support. This support consists of access to the Stichting OOK platform, offering self-help modules and a maximum of 5 video consultations with a support consultant.

  • Do you have Superfit, OntzorgPlus or Zorgplan? Those plans sometimes cover 'other' medical transportation. From 1 January 2023 we will simply call this medical transportation The coverage will not change.

  • Did you take out Tandfit Preventief in 2018 or 2019? In that case, for 3 years you have been entitled to a higher reimbursement for fillings and gum treatments than insureds who took out Tandfit Preventief in or after 2020. We will now correct that. From 2023, Tandfit Preventief will reimburse a maximum of €300 per calendar year for fillings and gum treatments combined. The total reimbursement for dental costs remains the same: a maximum of €2,000 per calendar year.

  • If you have Tandfit Preventief, you will no longer receive a new electric toothbrush every 3 years. We only provide a toothbrush at the start of the insurance. If you took out Tandfit Preventief in 2020 and were to receive a new brush in 2023, we will make an exception: you will still receive a new brush.

  • If you are part of a collective plan, you may have the free supplementary Werkfit plan. Per 1 January 2023, we will expand Werkfit's reimbursements and services for you. You will be entitled to a higher coverage for psychological care and you can, for example, use Mirro's self-help modules.

  • Invoices must be submitted for reimbursement within 3 years from when you receive treatment. From 1 January 2023, 3 years will start when you receive the invoice from the healthcare provider.

    However, we advise you to submit your invoices as soon as possible. If you have advanced any costs, we will reimburse them quickly.

  • You cannot transfer the right to reimbursement of health-care costs to someone else without our permission (assignment of benefits), nor can you use it to give someone else certainty that you are going to pay that other person's bill (right of pledge). This was already prohibited, but for 2023 we have clarified this in our General rules.

  • We have changed our response time for handling complaints. In 2023, we will respond to your complaint within 10 working days. If we are unable to solve the issue, you can submit your complaint to the SKGZ. The response times of the SKGZ have also been adjusted. You will find them in our General rule 80.
